Start with artwork and print area
Golf-ball decoration is applied to a small curved, dimpled surface. Fine lines, small text, close color registration, gradients, and large solid areas may reproduce differently from the same artwork on flat packaging. Supply vector artwork when available and ask the selected decorator to confirm the printable area and minimum feature sizes.
The available method depends on the ball, artwork, quantity, equipment, and authorized decoration channel. Common supplier offerings may include spot-color pad printing or a direct full-color process, but the actual route must be confirmed for the selected product.
Approve the right proof
A digital layout checks position, scale, spelling, and color references, but it does not prove the exact appearance on a dimpled surface. For color-sensitive or premium programs, ask what physical pre-production sample or decorated-ball approval is available and what it adds to timing and cost.
Record the approved artwork version, print location, orientation, colors, and any acceptable tolerance before production release.
Confirm the complete branded-ball route
For a named golf-ball brand, confirm the exact model, authorized supply path, territory, decoration rules, quantity, and current availability. Do not treat a prior project or a catalog image as proof that the same combination can be supplied again.
If the golf balls sit inside a gift box, also proof the ball orientation, cavity fit, printed packaging, and transit protection. A logo approval alone does not approve the finished presentation.
